Leigh is an independent contract scientist, with over ten years experience conducting marine mammal science in the Bahamas. Leigh specialises in the use of telemetry (d-tags), biopsy and photo-ID techniques to address his principle research interests relating to the effects of anthropogenic noise; the functional relationships between prey dispersion and predator performance; the influence vocal adaptations and prey behaviour have on fine-scale foraging and diving behaviour.
Tim Higgs
Tim is a sixth generation Bahamian and the owner/operator of Abaco Dive Adventures. Prior to opening his dive shop he was a lobster fisherman for 20 years. He has been involved in the research of the soft coral PE for the past 15 years. Tim brought the artificial reef ball idea to FRIENDS and currently runs the Reef Check program.
